About ImagiLearning
It sounds trite to say that education and business are changing. Anyone in either field knows that very well. Learners and customers are more demanding, insisting upon customization and individualization. They want it NOW! And they are not hesitant to walk away to find another alternative...from the thousands of alternatives available in the online world. While this may well be just the natural transition that comes with becoming a digital culture, it is also extremely painful and disruptive to how we have done things for a while. We are being asked to change our practices and policies...and let's not even mention strategic planning. We used to create those long-range plans that looked 20 years into the future. Now planners recommend we keep the focus shorter...think in months rather than years. Things are changing very, very fast.
And the opportunities coming at us are changing as quickly...from the web, to web 2.0, to blogs, wiki's, 'tweets', social networks and now virtual worlds. The information about these tools is coming out as rapidly as the members are running to them. How do we keep track and sort them out? Which tools might last and need our attention, and which tools will be gone in 8 months and aren't worth our time? What practices to we alter to adapt to the changes taking place? What do invest our time & energy in? How do we decide?
That's why ImagiLearning, Inc. is here. We have been leading change management activities for 40 years and understand the challenges that change brings. With the arrival of the digital culture, the changes are bigger and faster than we've seen in a long time. But about 5 years ago we came across the technology called Second Life, and found it to be a perfect platform for helping people understand those changes taking place. Second Life IS the digital culture. By joining us in Second Life, we can help you gain new understanding of what is happening, and how to respond to it. We hope you will take a moment and look through our site to see the programs we offer.
Relax. We can help.
